The Southern California Edison (SCE) Charge Ready Home program, administered by the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE), is a multiyear initiative that provides rebates to SCE customers in income-qualifying households and disadvantaged communities.
The program provides eligible residents rebates of up to $4,200 to upgrade their home's electrical panel to a 200-amp panel and install a dedicated 240-volt circuit to support installation of in-home Level 2 charging equipment. The program is funded by California Low Carbon Fuel Standard credits.
As the administrator, CSE has designed the program procedures and workflows, maintains an eligible electrical contractor database, processes applications, issues rebate checks and reports on program statistics.
